Mishka Magazine was made in my second semester of college. The goal of the assignment was to follow a grid system and alignment system, and build a comprehensive and aesthetically pleasing magazine with a cover page, table of contents, and six article pages. The magazine topic could be whatever we wanted.
As someone who loves fashion and aesthetics, I chose to do mine on the five internet fashions I love, Dark and Light Academia, Cottagecore, Coquette, Downtown Girl, and Shojou Girl. My main goal for how the magazine would look was a mix of high fashion magazine and eclectic Pinterest board. I accomplished this by combining high quality, aesthetically pleasing pictures, with cutout images on the article pages. I also chose to have my text be two different shades of brown, so it would have a softer, more feminine touch.
