The Flower Wine brand was a self driven project I did at the start of my last semester of college. I’d done quite a lot of product design over the past two years for assignments, so I wanted to put I’d learned to the test. Wine and alcohol labels are always a treat to look at, and I like almost anything fancy, so practicing with wine labels was perfect.

I decided to go for a clean and simple wine label (inspired by a factious Korean wine brand), with simple pretty flourishes of what ever the flavor was (i.e. wisteria and orange blossom). Once I had a label I liked, I slapped it on an already existing wine bottle mockup pic. However, I didn’t like how it looked overall. The mockup I used was very wine-like, with a lot of dark colors and textures. I wanted something that captured the wisteria flavor. After pondering a bit, I decided to make my own mockup completely from scratch. I gathered all my separate photo assets, put them all into an empty photoshop file, and built and edited the mockup until I was happy with it. Rinse and repeat for the orange blossom mockup.

After showing my instructor, he told me I could take it a step further and turn them into actual advertisements. So I made some simple digital ad campaign, since I’d been wanting to try my hand at doing more social media advertising.
